COP15, the United Nations Climate Change Conference will take place the 7-18 December in Copenhagen. The Norrköping Visualization Center will participate in several events at the conference.
WorldView, a collaboration between The Norrköping Visualization Center and the Centre for Climate Science and Policy Research (CSPR) at Linköping University, will be presented at several different events in Copenhagen.
On December 10-16 results from the project will be presented together with researchers from CSPR and the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) at the Bella Center. During the presentation we will discuss sea level rise and effort sharing principles underpinning climate adaptation and mitigation scenarios. The presentation moves from the local to the global scale and is based on state of the art interactive visualization techniques and data sets from SMHI and CSPR research, as well as a number of emission scenario models (CAIT, C-Roads).
Between the 12th and 14th of December you can visit out inflatable dome at the Arctic Venue event for interactive presentations of the show ‘Visualizing climate change with focus on the Arctic environment'.
Representatives from the Visualization Center will also participate in the seminar 'Interactive Climate Visualization'. The seminar is organized as an interactive discussion on the potentials and challenges of climate visualization. You can find more information about the events on CSPR's website.
